LET IT BE, BUT MAKE IT INTENSE

From a humorous and slightly absurd angle, this work explores a phenomenon of the 21st century anxiety - a by-product of delay between the modern world and our primordial brain. Two lovers are forever trying to trick each other, adapt and change in order to please the other, but never really possessing each other. The film’s soundtrack presents an adaptation of Radiohead’s cult song ‘Karma Police’ through some of the oldest musical instruments in existence, performed by the Korean Traditional Music Ensemble. At times the musical translation resembles its original self, at times it is lost in translation. However the intense frustration with the rapidly changing world of Thom Yorke, embedded in the lyrics of ‘Karma Police’ lives on in the form of the animated characters.
