Alyona Larionova                info contact
Alyona Larionova is an artist and filmmaker. Her work explores the history and evolution of human stories: where they come from; what they are made of; the role they play in constructing the self and the other. Across Lips (2016) explores ways our stories adapt to technological innovation and big data. Staying with the trouble (2018) is a tactile meditation on the age-old narrative of control and dependency, set in a world torn between security crises and insatiable hunger for hyper-connectivity. In the audio-play Pioneers (2022), two teenage sisters attempt to piece together the story of all stories, which they hope will become an antidote to the history and geography of violence they inhabit.
