ARTIST STATEMENT / CV

I’m interested in stories: what they’re made of; where they come from; the role they play in constructing the self and the other. Across Lips (2016) explores ways our stories adapt to technological innovation and big data. Staying with the trouble (2018) is a tactile meditation on the age-old narrative of control and dependency, set in a world torn between security crises and insatiable hunger for hyper-connectivity. In the radio-play Pioneers(2022), two teenage sisters attempt to piece together the story of all stories – an ultimate ur-tale, which they hope will become an antidote to the history and geography of destruction and violence they inhabit.
